PPGIA is welcoming a new professor, Prof. Lucas Albertins, from the Computing Department at UFRPE. Lucas has worked in the area of Model-based System Engineering, mainly in research related to model management and the use of knowledge engineering to improve engineering processes. This research is carried out with partners in Brazil and Europe, where he recently completed his post-doctorate at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. He also works in the area of Formal Methods and is currently a member of the special committee on Formal Methods of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).
